Our PMP Division 3 ladies were victorious on Monday against Beaconhills with a 3-2 win. The day wasn’t without controversy with Beaconhills originally crowned as winners (3-2), which was overturned due to players playing with incorrect handicaps. Congratulations to Jo Patching, Chris Tunbridge, Tracey Anthony, Lynne Cutting and Maureen Conlon on this weeks win!

DemoPMP 1 – Round Three Results
On Monday 28th April 2025, our PMP 1 Team visited Moonah Links to play top team Sorrento.
Conditions were lovely for golf with light winds & cloud cover breaking as the morning progressed.
First off was Connie Beckett with Lisa McConville Brain as caddy. Steady smart play saw Connie put this match in the bag finishing strongly with a 4/3 win. Great putting was Connie’s secret weapon. Next up was Robyn Tell. Both Robyn & her opponent were seen playing all areas of the course – bunkers & off fairway lies. However Robyn’s steely determination saw Robyn winning on the 18th one up.
Next off was Kate Philip – steady from the start, Kate kept up a string of pars & a birdie to be 4 up on the turn with 43 off the stick. Caddy Gill stayed tight lipped about that one until the end with a 5/4 win on 14th.
Ange Stephens playing at No. 2 was also playing great golf, with Fiona Wood Ingram as caddy they made a great team and another 5/4 win for Mornington. It was a hopeful & happy team waiting patiently for No.1 Marg Hancock to get in. Marg walked the 18, getting great value for money out of the course to halve the match.
This really was a fantastic effort by PMP 1 team, convincingly beating the top team & now looking strong for the remaining 2 rounds.
Go Mornington!!!

As Paul Hedger said in a previous report…..You’ve got to be in it to win it!
A huge congratulations to our Men’s Division 1 Pennant team on making to the final once again this year and giving themselves a great chance of going back to back with flag wins…
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be as they came up against a fantastic Rosebud team who were too strong on the day beating our boys 4.5 – 2.5
Well done again to our team, a great Pennant season and something to build on for next year.
