A strong field contested the Championship over three rounds, with the final leaderboard highlighting both consistency and composure under pressure.

A Grade – Championships

Abby Coombes has etched her name further into Mornington Golf Club history, claiming her 4th Women’s Club Championship with rounds of 83, 82 and a superb final round 74 to finish on 239

Abby’s closing 74 was the best round of the championship and a new course record, and demonstrated her experience and class when it mattered most. Winning four Club Championships is an extraordinary achievement and firmly places Abby among the Club’s elite.

Finishing runner-up was Jen Quinlan (84-78-79) with a total of 241, only two shots behind Abby after a gallant effort on the back 9.

3rd – Lorraine Theofanis (248)

4th – June Tickell (255)

5th – Sue Evans (263)

The strength at the top of A Grade continues to raise the bar each year.

Golf Cart Reminder – Protecting Our Green Surrounds

Dear Members,

This is a friendly reminder that golf carts must not be driven within 10 metres of any green.

The green surrounds are among the most heavily trafficked and delicate areas of the golf course. Driving carts too close to greens causes compaction, turf stress and long-term damage to these important playing surfaces. Over time, this significantly impacts presentation, playability and the health of the turf.

We ask all members and guests to please observe the 10-metre rule at all times and park carts in designated areas before walking to the green. A small effort from each of us makes a big difference to the overall condition of the course.

Our course team works incredibly hard to present Mornington in the best possible condition, and your cooperation helps protect that work.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
