Sunday marked the second ‘Sunday Monthly Medal‘ which will be played in conjunction with the normal Men’s and Women’s stableford competitions on select Sunday’s throughout the year.

Congratulations to Robyn Tell, who took home the second medal with a very impressive 41 points!

Additionally, congratulations to Maureen Conlon, the sole winner of the Sunday Secret 6 event, with her score of 15 points. Remember, to win the secret 6, you have to be at presentations! As such, there was no male winner for the event.

Well done to everyone today for getting out there and playing, even through some challenging wind at the latter end of the day. We look forward to many more fun Sundays!

Our March, Men’s Medal winner is Matt Boyden with a fantastic Nett 66.

Matt posted the early clubhouse lead and managed to hold on, winning the Medal on a countback from Steve Winchester.

What a beautiful day to play golf. Womens Pennant team ( proudly sponsored by Sue Hodgson from Carpet World and all those gym hours must be paying off thanks to Core 24) enjoyed a great win at one of our favourite courses, Sorrento. We played against the National winning 5/2.

Two matches went to the 18th with Sheree down 2 and Laura had her first win 1 up. Kate another excellent performance getting to the 17th again!!

Our top 4 players all came through with strong wins. Well done Abby, June , Marg and myself.

We are moving up the ladder!!!

Next week we play Flinders at Rosebud.

Women’s Division 1 Pennant Captain

In the 4th year of playing for the Champion of Champions Trophy we will see 2026 Women’s Champion, Abby Coombes take on the 2026 Men’s Champion, Mark Butterworth on Saturday 28 March.

The inaugural event in 2023 was halved between Abby and Mark.  In 2024 Abby defeated Greg Fitch, and in 2025 Butters defeated Jen Quinlan so one of the champions will become a dual winner of the event.

Good luck to both players in what promises to be a battle royale!

The Women’s Charity Day will be held on Tuesday 31 March.

This year, as we did last year, we are raising funds for Moonah House which is the name of the Women’s Community Shelter that will be opened this year in the Rosebud/Rye area. This shelter has had a $1.9M grant from the State Government which has been set aside for the purchase of the proposed property. Our raised funds will support the day to day running of the shelter.

We are seeking volunteers for the day, so if you are free from 8am until 1pm on the 31 March and would like to assist with bunker raking, ball spotting and more, please contact Janice or Jo below.

Dear Members,

The Veterans Trophy final round was played today in glorious conditions! This unique competition features a Stableford, Par, and Stroke rounds, with the Par and Stroke scores converted into their Stableford equivalents to determine the overall standings.

Open exclusively to members aged 55 and over, the event continues to showcase the depth of talent and competitive spirit among our senior golfers.

With a fantastic final round of 41 converted stableford points, Bob Payne, climbed to the top of the leaderboard to win on a count back with a three round total of 111 from runner up Simon Stokes.

Congrats Bob, great win and well played to all competitors over the three rounds.

Women’s Monthly Medal 

Forty-one players took to the course for our latest Ladies Monthly Medal, proudly supported by Compass Allied Health and Tor Barrell. With scoring sharp across all grades, it was a day of steady nerves, confident putting strokes and more than a few celebratory smiles in the clubhouse.

Monthly Medal Winner

Lynne Cutting (HCP 32) delivered a superb nett 64 to claim the Medal . A fantastic performance under pressure.

Gross Winner

June Tickell (HCP 13) secured the Gross prize with a score of 80

Grade Winners

• A Grade: Marg Hancock (HCP 16) – Nett 64 

• B Grade: Jenny Low (HCP 28) – Nett 66

• C Grade: Betty Dahm (HCP 33) – Nett 68  

Putting Prize

Marg Hancock added to her day’s success, taking out the Putting competition with just 27 putts. Precision on the greens paid off.

Stableford Event

In the concurrent Stableford competition, Noeleen Martin produced a strong round of 38 points to take the win! Well played.
