Reminder – Contacting Triple Zero, Automated External Defibrillator Location & Staff First Aid

Dear Members,

Unfortunately, medical emergencies can occur anywhere at anytime, even when we’re playing golf.

 

A couple of reminders for everyone: 

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
We have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on site for staff and members to use in the event of an emergency. The AED is located in the small restaurant kitchen and is easy to access for staff and members. To access the AED you go through the kitchen door (pictured above) in the restaurant and it is located on a shelf on the left. 
 
  • Contacting Triple Zero
If you need to contact Triple Zero whilst on the course, mobile phones have the ability to “roam” onto other networks in areas where your network doesn’t have coverage. This means that if you dial 000, your call will be routed to the nearest available network, even if it’s not your usual provider.
 
  • Staff First Aid Training 
Staff in both the Clubhouse and Golf Shop are trained in First Aid, if you need assistance while at the Club please phone (03) 5975 2784. 
 
We hope the AED, Triple Zero and First Aid are never required, however it’s lifesaving information for us all.

Communication to Members On Course

Dear Members,

On certain days there will be the need for the Golf Shop or Office to contact Members who are on course.  

These ‘push notifications’ will be sent through the MiScore App to your phone.  The notifications may include important competition information, critical extreme weather updates or for certain groups, a request to return the NTP’s that are on course.

To allow these notifications to your phone as alerts we ask that you enable the ‘allow notifications’ option within the ‘MiScore App’ notification settings on your mobile phone.

Once enabled all messages will appear as the below.

Once the notification has been sent, members must view the message before they can continue to score.  If the ‘allow notifications’ option is not enabled on your phone then all notifications will sit in your message inbox tab within the menu on MiScore, see image below. 

When there is a message unread the tab will turn yellow with the a number indicating the number of messages to be read.

If you have any questions or require assistance setting up the notifications please come and see me.

Members House Accounts – Self Top Up – *New Feature*

Dear Member,

We have been working closely with our membership software providers to create a “Self Top Up” feature for Members to use to top up their House Accounts.

I am pleased to advise that this has now been finalised and this feature is readily available for members to use on their mobile devices and computers.  

It is very frustrating and time consuming for staff and members when a House Account needs to be topped up before a purchase can be made from the bar or golf shop.  It holds up service of other members while the top up is being made.

Members will now be able to top up their House Accounts anytime, preferably before they even arrive at the Club or even when they are in the bar or on the golf course before they buy the next round!

Self Top Up should make it better for everyone and the staff hopefully wont have to chase after members to remind them to top up.  

I have prepared two instruction documents for members to refer to which guides them through each step to top up their account either on their phone or on a computer.  Members can also view their balance to check whether they need to top up.

Now we have set up the self top up for House Accounts we will be able to commence the self serve registering for golf comps in the Golf Shop.  It is vital that members accounts are funded to ensure the self serve registering for comps works as your account must be funded to enable entry to the comp via self serve registration.   Further details on the Self Serve Registration for golf comps will follow in due course.
