Dear Junior Golfers!

With 230 junior members at our Club, it is time to put their competitiveness to the test! 

We have some exciting Junior events coming up – and we want YOU to be part of the action!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Junior Club Championships: 
The Championship is a Gross event over 36 holes of stroke play.  A Nett event will be played for concurrently over the 36 holes.
DATES – 23/11 & 30/11 – KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR AN ENTRY SHEET IN THE GOLF SHOP.

The Michael Faraone Junior Challenge Cup:  
A brand new event named after our former Club Pro Michael Faraone who gave the Club 17 years of excellent service and who did a lot during his time to develop our juniors at the Club. A well deserved honour!

The event will be played over SEVEN rounds, the winner will be the player with the highest aggregate stableford points score over any FOUR rounds played under these competition rules, with any par or stroke competition scores being converted to stableford scores on the total nett score for the respective par or stroke rounds. 
DATES – 7/12, 21/12, 4/1, 18/1, 1/2, 15/2 & 1/3

The Trevor Morrison Junior Matchplay Championships: 
This is an event that was played many years ago and has been relaunched in 2025.  The event is named after our Life Member, Trevor Morrison who was instrumental in growing and promoting Junior golf back in the early 2000’s.

A Singles handicap knock out match play event.  Junior members must enter the competition by the closing date for entries published by the Committee.  The Committee will then make a blind draw for the matches to be played at times and on dates agreed by the opposing pairs, but no later than the closing date for each round as published by the Committee.
DESIGNATED DATES – TBC – KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR AN ENTRY SHEET IN THE GOLF SHOP.

 

IMPORTANT: GET YOUR OFFICIAL HANDICAP!

To compete in the above competitions all players must have an official handicap.

Here’s how to get yours:

  1. Submit 3 completed, 18 hole, Stroke play scorecards to the Golf Shop. (a combination of 9 and 18-hole rounds are acceptable). 

  2. Scorecards must be signed by a marker with a Golf ID Number and who holds a current handicap.
