The final round of the GPV Peninsula Matchplay was played on Monday with both our teams in contention for their respective Flags.
Our Division 1 ladies needed to win their final match and hope other results went their way. Unfortunately they went down 4-1 to a strong Sorrento team and they finished a very respectable 3rd place on the ladder.
Over in Division 3 our ladies missed out in a “winner takes all” battle for the Flag against Mt Martha and finished as excellent runners-up.
It was a great season for both teams who did Mornington proud and in true MGC style they celebrated back at the Club on Tuesday afternoon with their caddies and supporters.
