What a day at MGC to celebrate the Grand Final Eve holiday! We had sunshine, wind, rain, cold, heat and 160 players in the afternoon field, which must be some sort of record.
The music was pumping from all areas of the course as our members really let their hair down and enjoyed the fun, less serious format of Four Person Ambrose.
The theme was to dress in your footy teams colours and so many members turned up in their colourful guernseys which made the day more special. One team in particular put in a fantastic effort to dress up for the day and they took home the Best Dressed prize. Congratulations to the team of Laura Menzel, Marg Blackmore, Peita Cooper and Ange Stephens who dressed up themselves and their golf cart in the colours of Geelong Cats! Well done girls!
The golf was secondary to the occasion but there was still bragging rights of 1st place up for grabs among the competitive members here at MGC!
Taking home the 1st place prize with a superb score of Nett 57.5 was Jack Macdonald, Dave Fenwick, Thomas Bish and Thomas Patterson, well done guys!
Runners up were Gavin Artico, Shane Bremner, Troy Wallington and Kane Grose just 0.25 behind on 57.75!
